Advent Immaculate Conception Celebration December 8, 2014

Immaculate Conception Celebration Tradition

Immaculate Conception Celebration

December 8, 2014

We are happy to announce that we are continuing our Immaculate Conception Celebration tradition.  On December 8th, 2014, Immaculate Conception Parish will be celebration the solemnity of the Immaculate Conception.  The Immaculate Conception is our parish patroness.

We are having a solemn mass on Monday, December 8th.  We are continuing with the tradition of making a special invitation to all the young ladies of our parish to write a beautiful poem or prayer to our Blessed Mother.  The winner will have the privilege of crowing our Blessed Mother at the end of our celebratory mass.  The winner will have the honor of having her poem or prayer stay at the feet of Blessed Mother for the entire coming year.

Another tradition activity that has been planned is a novena which will run from November 29th to December 7th, 2014.  The novena will be held early in the evenings.  A schedule as is provided on Sunday’s bulletin.  Parish groups have been assigned a date to lead the rosary for each one of these days.  We encourage everyone to join us.  What a great way to pray as a family!  After the rosary, parish groups will serve delicious treats!

After our Mass celebration, we are inviting our Immaculate Conception parishioners to say for gear food, desserts and entertainment at St. Ann’s hall.  Parishioners, we need your help to make this happen.  We invite you to bring your favorite dish or dessert and hare with others.  Please consider helping us with this pot luck and sing up or call the rectory to help with this great event.

With your participation, we will have a well deserving Grand Celebration for our Blessed Mother.

Thank you,

Sincerely,

Father Javier Perez, V.F. Pastor
